Speaker: Ashley Beakey, Parents' Day Out Director
Please introduce yourself and tell us what excites you most about joining the Good Shepherd community.
Ashley Beakey: Hi, my name is Ashley Beakey. I am the PDO director at Good Shepherd. I have recently started, I started in June and I'm very grateful for the opportunity. Interesting fact about myself is my son and I enjoy bird watching and we go down to White Rock Lake and watch the eagles and the Pelicans as they migrate through. And, also go out to Cedar Hill State Park and part of a community out there that, helps with, the birdie and we really enjoy that and enjoy that time together. The best advice I've ever been given is probably to keep looking for the miracles in life. And that was told to me years ago by a friend of mine. Try to follow that on a daily basis. Highlights of my summer have probably been starting this job. I started this job in June and, but we did enjoy some family time going down to, The Gulf and enjoyed the beach and spending some time with some relatives. Brings me most joy. Of course, is my family watching my son grow and and learn and learn about himself and what he's gonna do in life. He's just turning 14, so lots of opportunities there.
