Speaker: Erik Douds, Denver, Colorado, United States

How are you taking action on climate change solutions in, for, and with your community?

Erik Douds: Hello, Project Drawdown. This is Erik here in Denver, Colorado and like many people around the world, I live in an apartment complex and sometimes it feels like we don't have a option to compost. And one thing I do is actually store compost in two food block containers. And about once every two weeks, bring it down to our local recycling center to be processed for free. So with a tiny bit of space, we can still handle our food waste, one of the number one solutions, our waste is way lighter in terms of actual weight. And then actually our trash and recycling has to go out way fewer times because we divert so much of our food waste, which takes up so much unnecessary space. So I can't wait to see more global solutions around the world. And Hello from Denver, Colorado.
