What does your company do and what is your role there?

Stephen Rothwell: Hi, I'm Steve Rothwell, the founder of Eagle Eye Solutions. I believe that we should treat people the way that I would like to be treated and the way they they would like to be treated. To that end, we created Eagle Eye Solutions, a business that enables omni-channel retailers to treat their customers right. We do this through a combination of promotional activities, real-time promotions, loyalty schemes, gift schemes, staff incentive schemes, challenges, gamification. When you're working in the retail space, you have to outdo these services at a at a very big scale. We generate nearly a billion personalized offers every week. We manage those offers through the point of sale through our API first platform.

Why did you choose Google Cloud?

Stephen Rothwell: When we decided that the next evolution of our platform was to go to a cloud technology, we started a project to research the available cloud technologies on the market. When selecting a supplier for something as critical as this to our business, we were looking for a number of things. Ultimately, the most important one would be a good partner, somebody who would work with us on achieving our objectives and our goals in a more symbiotic way than a client-supplier relationship. We also needed scalability, technology that we could use, and security. To this end after a market scan and interviewing other cloud suppliers, we found that the Google Cloud offering and the people at Google who had worked with us were head and shoulders above the rest in the market and we started on our partnership with them. What have you achieved using Google Cloud solutions?

Stephen Rothwell: Since that move to Google Cloud, Eagle Eye has grown almost exponentially. We're now delivering nearly a billion personalized offers or loyalty offers per week. We have around 100-120 million customers under management. We are transacting on our API layer around 5,000 API requests per second, almost 24 hours a day. We're operating the same application using the same platform infrastructure in four regions around the world. These things would not have been possible without our move to Google Cloud.

What are your future plans for working with Google Cloud?

Stephen Rothwell: Since we moved to Google Cloud, we've had phenomenal success. As a business we've grown and scaled exponentially. But realistically, we're probably only just at the beginning of our journey of our cloud transformation. We will continue that process using more and more cloud native technologies to enable our engineers to really focus on building features for the world-class and world-leading loyalty promotions platform that Eagle Eye is. With that in mind, and with the very good relationships and the common values and belief that we have, with Eagle Eye and with the Google Cloud team, we're really excited to now be listed on Google Cloud marketplace.
