What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio (formerly Glean)?
Taiye Akanni : Hi, my name is Taiye Akanni I am currently a student at Towson University. I've been using Glean for a whole academic year, so since fall of 2024, the key challenges that I faced before using Glean was that I couldn't find a way to sufficiently record my lectures, so that was really hard for me to do that. Because I wasn't able to write notes or keep up with the professor in a sufficient manner. Also I had issues sometimes with not having a note taker, so not having someone to be able to assist with writing the content down, that was also an issue.
How has Genio (formerly Glean) helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Taiye Akanni : When using Glean, I was able to have a better way to sufficiently record. I was able to listen to my professors more clearer. And it saves on my phone as well as online if I'm using my laptop. When it comes to note taking, if I didn't have a note taker, Glean has a transcript option, so it converts everything that was said into words, which makes it easier for a note taking. I can copy and paste the particular sentence or information that I need to be able to study. It has enhanced my learning experience because I'm able to do all of these things and it it's easy for me to remember the information when I'm able to go back and look at the transcript and listen to my professor speak.
