What inspired you to pursue a career in your current field, and how did you get started in your role at GigaComm?
Cindy Zhou: What inspired me to pursue a career in GigaComm is the story behind GigaComm. After COVID, you know, more and more people need faster and better internet. So I think GigaComm couldn't have came at a better time to provide customer with a new and better option.
What are some of the most rewarding aspects of your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my role is being able to understand every different department within the business in order to deliver the right messages to our consumers. Every day is different in my role and being part of the transformation and actually seeing the result. So that's really rewarding.
What's your vision for the part of the business you're doing?
So my vision for part of the business is being at the front line of the business. I basically talk to everyone and deal with committee members, strata managers as well as building managers and being able to talk to them and find out exactly what they need for their building and layers with our deployment managers internally as well as our marketing team to drive the business success and being able to give the right feedback in order to better our service for the customers.
What advice do you have for others who are interested in pursuing a career in your field, and what skills and qualities are more relevant?
Some of the advice that I would give to someone who's looking to join GigaComm is just do it. Don't be afraid to ask questions, don't be afraid of rejections. In sales you just need to be like a sponge. The more questions you ask the more you learn, the better it is you're equipped with the knowledge in order to help our customers.
If you could have a conversation with any influential woman from history, who would it be and why?
If I could have any conversation with a past influential woman in the past, it would have to be Coco Chanel because I love bags as everyone does. But one of the most important thing I wanna ask is how she can be so original, but at the same time, innovative throughout these years, in order to have such a long successful standing brand.
