Michele Egan: Hi everyone, Michelle Eagan here. I'm the Chief Development Officer at MedShare International. Our mission is to improve healthcare access for marginalized men, women, and children here in Georgia, here in Atlanta, here in DeKalb County, and around the world. We do that by providing um free medical supplies and equipment to charitable healthcare providers.
Tell us the impact your nonprofit makes.
Michele Egan: There is an urgent need for providing additional care to uninsured men, women, and children here in the United States. Right now, or last year, 6 million people visited the network of free and charitable clinics, and about 81% of those clinics have a waitlist. So, there's federal cuts to Medicare, there's increased patient, there's increased need, and that's why we need you to donate today.
Let the public know how they can support your nonprofit.
Michele Egan: MedShare relies on volunteer support, donated high-quality surplus medical supplies and equipment, and financial donations. If you can come out and volunteer at our Decatur area facility, we'd love to have you. If you can donate medical supplies, we'd love to have that. And if you can donate, um, dollars, about $100 provides for 20 patient visits at a US clinic. Thank you.
