Margaret Master: My name is Margaret Master, and I work with Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia. We serve moms and babies throughout our state through education, advocacy, and connection to resources.
Tell us the impact your nonprofit makes.
Margaret Master: We've had a lot of progress in our state, but there's still a lot of work to do. Uh, Georgia's regularly been at the bottom, and we're seeing numbers of low birth weight babies, um, inadequate prenatal care, climbing, hospital closures, and complexities with insurance and coverage, and getting the time you need for this really complicated thing, having a baby. Um, one thing I like to tell the story about is PCP kits. Wherever I go, people reach out and ask about them.

Margaret Master: That's why this season, we are focused on PCP kits. $200 packs a whole kit, blood pressure monitor, urine strips, an amazing booklet, um, compression hose, all evidence-based interventions to improve prenatal and postpartum care in our state. Everywhere I go, people ask me, when will there be more kits? How do we get a kit? And we need funding to do that. $50 helps support that blood pressure monitor. Uh, $25 helps us with other items.
