Introduce yourself and your community: Start with your name, your organization’s name, and the community you serve.

Kyla Smude: Hi, my name is Kyla Smude. I am the founder and CEO of Fairy Tales Rescue, a volunteer and foster-based rescue here in Georgia.

Tell us the impact your nonprofit makes.

Kyla Smude: The mission at Fairy Tales Rescue is to take adoptable cats and dogs from the streets in high kill shelters and help them find their forever homes. One great example is this little beauty here at Pecan. He was very sick at a highkill shelter, and look at him now. He's happy and healthy. Georgia is experiencing an animal crisis due to a lack of spaying and neutering. Here at Fairy Tales Rescue, we are strong advocates for TNR and fixing your animals. We educate the public while saving these precious creatures from the streets and shelters. We rely on fosters to save lives in order to help these amazing animals find their happily ever after.

Let the public know how they can support your nonprofit.

Kyla Smude: Oftentimes, we rescue these animals and they're in terrible shape and very sick. It can easily cost up to $1000 to keep a cat alive. We are always needing monetary donations in addition to goods and volunteers and fosters are always welcome.
