What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Tarek Fergani: Hi, my name is Tarek Fergani. I am a student currently at University of Portsmouth. I've been using Genio since September 2025. The key challenges for me were with my learning disability. I have dyspraxia. So it's just - one of the main challenges I have is just taking in information and then being able to then remember that, my short-term working memory isn't the best and then writing that down, the information, particularly in a lecture where information's being read out quickly and then you're trying to then keep up with the lecture or the presentation.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Tarek Fergani: How Genio's helped me, it's just through not having to think about the information that I'm writing down and that I've missed anything out, it's so important for me that I take in detail, particularly at a master's level, so I've found not having to worry about missing certain bits of information that I can go back to my recording, and the second part of it is just making it, keeping things organized, the recordings, being able to put them into a folder under a category and being able to keep it all in one place, it just helps with my general organization.
