What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Suzanna : My name is Suzanna Cruise, and I'm currently studying at Cypress Community College, and I have been using Genio for 2 years now. I'm neurodivergent, which causes me to struggle with getting easily distracted, as well as having a hard time processing and understanding lectures the first time around, which causes me to miss vital information and have blank spaces within my notes, as my brain struggles to process and really hear and understand what's being said. I not only have issues during class with taking notes, but also after class with studying, as I work most of the days and don't have time to form a study guide or any other study helps to study for upcoming tests.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Suzanna : With Genio Notes, I have the ability to go back and listen to my lectures again with transcripts, which really helped me have a better grasp on the material and organize my notes in a way that allow for easy access for studying and recall. I'm able to make sure I have all the information I need when previously I would have big blank spaces in my notes from when I was unable to completely follow the lectures. It also helps me by allowing me to highlight certain parts of the lecture that are super important, like information that's going to be on the next exam. So when I inevitably forget what was said, I know exactly where to go back to hear it again. Genio makes it easy to study certain sections by dividing my lectures into categories, so I can listen to the section that I need within that moment for the next exam. Genio has made studying and feeling confident going to tests much easier and less stressful than it was before.
