What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Scarlett: Hi, my name's Scarlett. I'm currently studying at Hartpury University doing equine science. I've had Genio since I started university, and that's only been a couple of months. This is my first year at Hartpury University and I'm the first person in my family that's ever been to university, which is a bit of a journey for me. I have diagnosed post-traumatic stress disorder and OCD. And throughout my education journey, that's always been quite a struggle. Because sometimes I have to leave the classroom to regroup myself if I'm having a flashback, and that's been really hard for my previous tutors to understand. And I did miss a lot of content, therefore it affected my studies.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Scarlett: Genio has been very helpful within my studies because if I do need to leave the room in the lecture theatre or in a classroom, my laptop's just just there running and I don't miss any content, the fact that Gino records literally everything and also records the lecturer as well speaking, so I don't miss any material content and I don't miss anything that the lecturer's saying as well, which has been so helpful and it's taken a lot of stress off me because, as a backup plan, Genio's always got my back.
