What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Ryan: Hello, my name is Ryan O'Loughlin, I'm a graduate student at the School of Social Welfare in Stony Brook, New York. I've had Genio, I would say since maybe last month, end of September, early October. It's been helpful for me because I used OneNote in my undergraduate education and my current school doesn't use the Microsoft suite, so it's been kind of close to what I'm used to, so that's been very helpful. Helps me like write notes on my slides, and I don't have to, you know, I was trying to maybe do physical notes, but this is much better for me and I can maintain all my focus on just writing stuff the professor says down and recording the audio transcripts, which is very helpful for me in reviewing. I have, you know, some neurodivergence, so this is, this is helpful for me with my ADHD and things like that and paying attention. Thank you.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Ryan: Genio's helped me be able to organize my notes more efficiently and that they're all in one place, and I can keep my PowerPoint slides and the things that I write down as well as any other notes in one section as opposed to across Google Docs or in Microsoft. I can just keep it in some neutral software. It's made it a lot easier for me to review my notes, especially with the being able to insert the text from the, the, PowerPoints. I discovered that recently. It's definitely been helping me be able to prepare for my exams and things and improve my grades.
