What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Omaris Rojas : Hi everyone, my name is Omaris. I am a health administrations major and I started using Genio about a year ago. Some challenges I had before I started using the app were taking notes in class and making sure that I was getting all the information the professor was saying and writing it down, which made it harder for me to study when it came time for tests because I didn't have all the information that I needed.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Omaris Rojas : Now that I have Genio, it has helped me tremendously in my work life as well as my school life. I work at the student accessibility services office at FAU and sometimes I note take for other students who have trouble, which helps me keep track of their classes along with my classes so I don't get mixed up. I use the lecture recording method and then I transcribe everything that the professor was saying and it helps me see if I missed anything or if I want to highlight anything in my notes or the students' notes. It also helps me with my personal classes because I have 3 hour lectures 2 to 3 times a week and so it's hard to make sure that I got everything that the professor was saying, especially when they give tips that will be on the exam. It just helps me so much because now I know I won't miss anything because everything was recorded.
