What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Mariella: Hello, my name is Mariella, and I'm studying at USF University of South Florida, and I'm a first year. I've had Genio or, Glean since around a few months ago before midterms. I have ADHD and it greatly helps me with recording lectures, and transcribing them as I was taking notes on paper in the beginning of the semester.
Mariella: Genio. It is very useful because I often missed things my teacher said. My handwriting is terrible because I was writing too quick, trying to catch up, very big emphasis on missing things. So I'm very grateful I was able to use this to to really help me move along with my semester.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Mariella: As I've said, that Genio has greatly helped me with making sure I don't miss things my teachers said. It's also helped me when my focus starts to fade during class, especially during long lectures. I also have a part-time job right now. It helps me. This app helps me to not to stress too much about not having enough time to get notes as it does transcribe and do a general summary for you, which is very useful, has definitely reduced my stress levels during lectures. I'm very grateful to have something that can be my secondhand man. It's basically making sure I don't miss anything during class and that I've got all the material I need. It also helps me spend less time organizing my notebook, which is very big. It's 5 subjects. So I'm very grateful I have it all in just one app and I can organize it into folders.
