What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Julia Schug: Hello, my name is Julia Schug, and I'm studying at Edgewood University. I've had Genio now for about 2 months, coming up on 3 in a few weeks, and some key challenges I've faced before getting Genio have had to do with my diagnosis of dyslexia. For instance, I have difficulty spelling things right sometimes, and so when I'm taking notes, I sometimes miss key concepts because of this. Additionally, with my dyslexia, I have a slower processing speed, which makes it difficult for me to write down notes fast enough, as sometimes the teacher talks too fast or they change slides too fast, and so I end up missing key information that I may need later for a test. Notes are imperative to studying, and so this has been a difficulty for me.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Julia Schug: Genio has really helped me overcome these challenges, because now I can record my professor's lectures. This has really made me feel so much more confident in referring back to my notes if I need clarification on an assignment or if I'm studying for a test, because I'm not relying just on my handwritten notes anymore. I can also go back and listen to my teacher's lecture again. And be reintroduced to ideas I may have forgotten about or ideas I missed in my notes. And this has been really helpful to, you know, my success in my classes thus far, and I have really appreciated Genio's features here.
