What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
James Somma: Hi, my name is James Somma. I am studying at Rochester Institute of Technology, and I've been using Glean for my studies in civil engineering technology for the last 2 years, going on 3 this year. Before I had access to Glean, I had a lot of difficulties due to my ADHD, autism masking and my learning disabilities. I have issues retaining information and I also don't work as fast as other people, so it takes me quite a bit to hear everything and write everything down, which is where I struggle because most professors move too fast for me to make a note of everything.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
James Somma: In regards to the issues with my ADHD, autism masking, and my learning disabilities. Genio/Glean has truly helped me. My grades have dramatically improved along with my stress levels because I haven't been panicking in class if I don't hear every word the professor says, and if I don't get down everything that is mentioned in that course, it is all there, accessible for me on Genio right now. My work-life balance is dramatically improved too, because I also don't spend all this time organizing my notes. It's all already organized for me in Genio. And my confidence with studying has skyrocketed because I know I have Genio on my side fighting with me.
