What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Iria : So, I'm originally Spanish. And so I was studying my second language, which is English, obviously, because I'm studying in Ireland. And I was kind of struggling with taking notes. Since it's not that I didn't understand what was being said, I did, but it was like kind of harder to sniff out the important bits, especially in an accent like the Irish, I could, like sometimes sentences would bleed together and such, and so it would be hard to distinguish, like what was important and what was like filler examples. Also, I've got ADHD and so staying focused during the lecture, focused enough to take notes was also a struggle. So, Genio helped me by recording the lectures, and then the AI outline helped me kind of start my notes and get that momentum going. So then I could kind of like, make my own notes using the transcription feature as well.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Iria : I haven't yet gotten any feedback from any of my assignments that I've done since it's November, 19th of November at that I'm filming this. But, It has helped me stress less during class about trying to get the important stuff down and actually just like listening in class, because before Genio, my brain was always like, oh wait, what did she just say? Was that one, was that not? But now instead of like thinking like, oh, do I need to write this down? Could this be an exam question? I can just focus on what the like teacher's saying, what the lecturer is saying, focus in class, participate in class, ask questions if I need to, because I have it all recorded and then I can just go back and make my notes and study from said notes and like make flashcards for example, out of those notes. It's helped me a lot just stay focused in general in class and not worry as much.
