What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Grace Owusu-Amoah: Hi, my name is Grace Owusu-Amoah and I am a current senior at Colgate University. So I have been using Genio for about 3 months, I would say. I have been struggling academically in terms of taking notes for my classes as my focus has not been great for a while now, but, per explaining these issues to my campus, they offered me Genio as an AI note taker so that I can record my lectures in class and have that video that, voice recording to refer back to when doing my notes. This has been a challenge before using Genio because I'm not able to like kind of listen to the professor as I'm writing and in addition to that, I wouldn't have accurate notes to go back to when it came to studying for exams.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Grace Owusu-Amoah: Since having Genio as a platform to help with these challenges, my learning experience has increased significantly. Now that I have access to those lectures and I can go back and listen to it, I can go through my notes and see where I was missing gaps or missing key things that the professor said and fill those out again. And then in regards to that, they have a feature that can make quizzes from the lectures that you record, and that is very beneficial to me because the way that I study for exams is through practice quizzes and tests. So every time I have a lecture and I'm studying for an exam for a class, I use the quiz feature. It gives me a couple of quizzes based on the notes that I have and the lecture that was had. And it's about 5 questions, and I do multiple rounds of that to make sure that I got my actual understanding. And this releases a lot of stress for me from having to make a separate document off of something like Quizlet.
