What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Francine Strain-Jones: Hi, my name is Francine, and this is my 3rd time back, but I'm in my 3rd semester, I'm in the fall semester. And when I came back, I was taking all online classes, but then I had to take a class in person, I couldn't get it online and I was kinda afraid, I know I wouldn't be able to keep up in class, I wouldn't be able to take notes fast enough, so I called the accessibility accommodations department and they told me about Genio, so I made an appointment to go speak to someone so they can show me how to use Genio. And I tried it out my first class and it was heaven sent. And I've been using it ever since. I had to do a paper and I had to do an interview and I used Genio for that.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Francine Strain-Jones: Not being able to take notes in class or write fast enough as the instructor speaks. I just felt like I wouldn't be able to keep up. And I had a fear of in-person classes. So now that I have Genio, I am not afraid of in-person classes anymore. I will consider taking in-person classes. As long as I have Genio. Thank you.
