What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Elizabeth Henry: Hello, my name is Elizabeth Henry. I study at Nazareth University and I've been using Genio Notes since August 2024. So before I started using Genio Notes, I definitely struggled with my note taking ability. What started this is I do have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and an auditory processing disorder. How these affect me is the EDS Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, it causes my hands to cramp up and joints to hurt when I write. So this limited my ability to only write on Google Docs or a computer, which was quite a struggle in learning since I'm a visual learner and like being able to edit the PowerPoint and such. And then the auditory processing disorder does cause me to misinterpret what the teacher or professor says, and this was quite a struggle because I would have to go back and rewrite my notes, which was such a hassle trying to really gather up what I was learning. Thank you.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Elizabeth Henry: In regards to my last struggles and challenges I mentioned, how Genio has helped is it's audio recording. So since my auditory processing disorder tends to make me misinterpret what the professor says, I do have the ability to go back when I'm done note taking from the class, to transcribe the audio and maybe rewrite my notes if I misinterpreted. This really helped me because it gives me a greater understanding of what I'm learning, and it really makes me feel more confident about what I am learning, in essence. And then, for the EDS, since I'm allowed to upload PowerPoints, the new tool where you can draw and everything, this really helps me visualize and be able to draw without having my hand hurting or anything. And this has really made me more confident and less stressed about how I learn. Thank you.
