What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Ava Engle: Hi. So I really needed help with note taking because I am a good note taker. I do take good notes, but the main thing was trying to write at the same time as the professor's talking, because that is very difficult for me, because most teachers talk pretty fast, and/or flip through the slideshow pretty fast. So it's very difficult for me to take good notes and listen to the next thing that the teacher is saying while I'm still writing down their previous ideas. So that was the primary reason why I got this platform through my school, but another reason is because I do have extra time on all my tests due to my generalized anxiety disorder. So listening to the lectures was very important for me to have, especially my first year in college.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Ava Engle: Genio Notes has been an absolute game changer for me, and I'm not just saying that. It's genuinely helped me so much. It's improved my grades, and it's just reduced a lot of the stress that I've had, especially in the past while being in large lectures and trying to take notes and trying to pay attention. Genio Notes has helped me so, so, so, so much. My stress levels are down because while I'm writing, I write on the platform and I can mark it that it's important for me to review, or it's a heading, and I can go back in time and listen to those lectures to make sure I didn't miss anything in those sections. So that is very helpful. And I'm also much more confident in my takeaways from lecture, walking out, I know that I kind of, I have everything that I need from that one lecture, and I have all those ideas to go back on. So, it's really just helped me, my stress, my confidence and my test-taking abilities.
