What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Anna : Hi, I'm Anna. I'm at Conestoga College and I'm starting a second career. So, what key challenge did I have before starting using Genio was studying efficiency. I have a prolonged disability, so being able to study efficiently with it has been a challenge. So, accommodation put me in touch with Genio, and it's been a game changer. It's helped me because I can use the recording function on my phone, but I can also use it on my laptop. If I'm using it in class on my laptop, I can make notes for important times in the classroom when they're discussing things. So not only can I see the slides, I can insert special highlighting or highlighting things and weighting things so that, that I know are gonna be on the exam. Thank you. It's been great. Use it.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Anna : OK, so my big challenge was being an accommodated student and Genio has helped me with those challenges by organizing my thoughts and capitalizing on my strengths as a learner because I'm auditory, but it also gives me the visual when I need it and the flexibility of using my phone wherever I need it and using it on the laptop as well. It crosses over because everything's saved in the cloud. So, that's super important because you can squeeze little moments of studying in and review standing in line waiting for something or walking somewhere and doing that physical activity along with the learning has really highlighted, or it accelerated my learning. So, it's a wonderful product. I don't know what I would have done without it. Thank you.
