What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Amy Piercy: Hi, my name is Amy Piercy. I've been using Genio Notes for about 2 months now, and I'm a student at the University of Central Florida. I'm a first-year student, and Genio was one of the things I requested as a student accessibilities accommodation, and so far, it has definitely helped me with learning the actual material because I can go back and listen to what the teacher says and add pictures and notes along with the recording, and I'm able to transcribe the audio to make sure I'm actually hearing and reading what the teacher is saying and the professor is saying, so I can actually understand all of the material. And it does also help me with studying.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Amy Piercy: I have a lot of challenges when it comes to paying attention a lot of the time. I'm very fidgety, and I do, a lot of the time, zone out during classes because of ADHD. And through Genio, I'm able to make sure I have a recording of the class to go back and listen to later, and I can add pictures and notes to make it more interactive, so I can stay focused and actually fully learn the material. Honestly, this has been really helpful for both studying and just taking notes in class.
