What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Alyssa : Hi, my name is Alyssa Rigoni. I'm a first year student at the University of South Carolina. I have been using Genio for the past couple of months during my first semester, which is almost at its end. It has been really helpful for me for transcribing my notes that I take within the class from listening and recording the lectures, which listening to the lectures, it was definitely a challenge for me, since I have an auditory processing disorder and I have ADHD, so being able to use Genio where it takes the lectures and you're able to record them and then transcribe them and also take notes within them, it was very helpful for me to look back on and to study for my classes. I definitely would recommend this to any students because it's very helpful and it will help you succeed in the future.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Alyssa : With having an auditory processing disorder, it's really hard for me to keep up with specific teachers, especially if they talk too fast or teachers who like ramble a bit and get off course with whatever topics, so it's like, very challenging for my mind to process each of these things and then combine them together to be able to study and do better within my classes, so being able to use Genio to be able to transcribe what my teacher is saying, to record my lectures to go back to and take notes, it has definitely impacted my learning experience for the better, and it's also helped me receive good grades within my classes, being able to look back upon these notes and use them to make my own study guides and write my notes after the classes. So I definitely would recommend Genio as it has helped me personally within my learning experience here at USC. Thank you.
