What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Aeryn : Hi, my name is Aeryn. I am studying currently in my sophomore year at Western Michigan University and I've probably been using Genio for like a month now. I want to say, last year was pretty rough for me. I never really went through my video lectures because I just couldn't stay focused to them and I just found that I couldn't get anything out of those notes. And so I was always going through the picture lectures instead and I found that it would never give me all the information that I needed, but since this year, I have been using it since mid October about, and it has been just extremely helpful in being able to catch up on all of my notes and get any of my online lectures reviewed.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Aeryn : Before I got Genio, I was really, really behind on my academics. I maybe had 3 assignments turned in for the entire semester. And I had basically stopped doing my work completely for a couple of weeks due to depression, anxiety, recently borderline personality disorder, ADHD, things like that. But since having these notes I've been having something that I can just go through and read. And it's been really helpful, especially in my online classes. It's been really helpful because instead of trying to focus my attention on listening to what they're saying, I can record it. I can read it back. I can go through things as much as I need to. And I have like since caught up completely in most of my classes.
