What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio (formerly Glean)?
Maija Thomas: Hi, I'm Maija, and I'm a current sophomore at Ohio University, and I've been using Glean for about a semester and a half. I got Glean through my accommodations for ADHD and I have been a big fan of it so far. I like that I can record all my lectures. I like that I can upload the slides to my lectures and take notes directly on the website. It's good for studying, it's easy to go through, and I like that it'll generate a little quiz at the end for you with the transcript.
How has Genio (formerly Glean) helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Maija Thomas: I feel like Glean has made it a little bit easier for me to focus in class, especially since I have to be paying attention to upload the next slide, to the notes. So it kind of forces me to be more conscious about what I'm learning in lecture and pay more attention to it.
Would you recommend Genio (formerly Glean) to other students?
Maija Thomas: I would recommend Glean to other students, and in fact I have who have accommodations. I've told them to go to their officers and get it if they struggle with note taking, if they struggle with paying attention, stuff like that. I really like it. I've recommended it to multiple people and they've said that they really like it too.
