Speaker: Madeline Stewart, Student at University of North Carolina Wilmington
What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio (formerly Glean)?
Madeline Stewart: Hello, my name is Madeline Stewart. And I am studying at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and I've had Glean for about 2 to 3 years now, I would probably say pushing 3 years. And previously to having it, I was struggling with keeping up in my lectures and just overall not having enough time to get everything down on my notes. By the time I would be getting to a section, they would already be switching over to the next. So, it's been really helpful for me to be able to go back and and listen to my lectures, as well as the notes that I can keep track of at the same point in the lecture where they're at, and be able to hear my professor speak, and the notes that they add that it's not on the actual lecture slides, so it's been amazing.
How has Genio (formerly Glean) helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Madeline Stewart: Glean has saved me so much time with my notes and organizing my notes. Previously, with me having ADHD, it was a disaster. It was a mess. It really wasn't helping. Like my notes were not helping me. But now, with the overall organization that I get from Glean, it's helping me so much and definitely helps my stress levels when it comes to studying for an exam, or just overall going to lecture and being in class. It's really been a game changer for me and it's definitely the best accommodation that I am receiving at my school.
