What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio (formerly Glean)?
Lisa H Myrick: Hi, my name is Lisa Myrick, and one of the challenges I had to deal with that the Glean helped me with was starting when I started using Glean was I wasn't a very good note taker, and these days I learned at my school that they didn't have note takers, so this is an app that my department of disability recommended for me to do, and it was really great because I could record, and then I could also go back and do the transcripts, so that really helped me with note taking, being able to go back and listen to the lectures that I was having in school, that I would have in school. It was kind of late, I had night classes, so this really helps me to be able to go along with the lectures along with the printed text as well.
How has Genio (formerly Glean) helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Lisa H Myrick: I decided to further my education at the age of 60. I wanted to pursue my MSW in in social work. I went to our department of disability, and they informed me that they no longer really have note takers. So, my advisor introduced me to Glean, and it was really a blessing. It made me feel more confident of returning back to the classroom with peers much younger than me, and just gave me the confidence to be able to again, record the lectures and then be able to go home and, you know, listen to those lectures and then to put them in print. So it just gave me a lot more confidence.
