Speakers: Cooper Downerd, Sophomore at Xavier University

When you first started using Glean, what were the key challenges you wanted help with?

Cooper Downerd: Hi, my name is Cooper Downerd. I go to Xavier University as a sophomore this year. I've been using Glean, since freshman year. So just about a year and a half now. It's helped me a lot because I do suffer from, memory loss from multiple brain injuries, as well as just going back and forth from the screen. It gives me headaches due to the brain injuries. So having a software that I can have all my notes recorded, put into a transcript, and then put into a nice outline, for the day is very, very helpful to me to succeed in class and get better grades, because without it I would miss a lot of notes. I wouldn't understand a lot of things, and I would also just be more in pain due to my conditions.

How has Glean impacted your learning experience and how quickly did you notice this impact?

Cooper Downerd: Glean has helped my grades out a lot, just from being able to go back to actual notes that I wouldn't really have, or at least have to that extent, due to my memory loss.

Cooper Downerd: It also just helps a lot with stress too because instead of having to put everything into a summarized version or just being able to pull it up and not having to go through like a very unorganized backpack or folders, it's very nice to have it in one spot with all the collections and having everything, like I said, outlined and recorded right there for you,

Cooper Downerd: So I would say it's just very helpful for organization wise for me especially, which then, you know, plays into the grades and the stress and you know, less stress and everything like that. So it's very helpful and it just helps me succeed in my college schooling.
