What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio (formerly Glean)?
Cheeyene: My name is Cheeyene. I am currently in my 2nd year and last semester of my nursing school, the LPN program at NorQuest College in Canada.
Cheeyene: I had gone to the school to, I guess, get accommodations, maybe for extra time, but they actually offered Glean to me as one of their services that they offered.
Cheeyene: It saved me a lot of time when it came to studying, especially because I'm also working right now as a healthcare aid. It's been a great addition to my routine when using it as I could just print all of my notes, right from Glean itself.
How has Genio (formerly Glean) helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Cheeyene: Growing up, I really didn't have the best study skills or the right approach to studying. As long as I passed, I figured that that would be OK.
Cheeyene: My grades back then, like I mentioned, were just OK, they weren't the best. I also was working quite a lot and had struggles with organization and I just was constantly stressed. I was not confident in my studying skills.
Cheeyene: With Glean, I was able to have my PowerPoints, my recording, and my notes, and then I could just print it after and it was so perfect for me that because it just saves so much time and organization and didn't, I didn't have to juggle through multiple softwares just to get my notes out.
Would you recommend Genio (formerly Glean) to other students?
Cheeyene: I just highly recommend Glean to anyone and I guess everyone because traditional note taking skills might work for some people, but this one I've always been told to work smarter, not harder. With Glean, you're definitely working smarter.
Cheeyene: I highly recommend Glean to not only neurodivergent people, people with learning disabilities, but people who want to get organized and are busy and stress in their life. This has been a game changer for me personally, so I highly recommend it.
