What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio (formerly Glean)?
Ande Farmer: Hello, my name is Ande Farmer, and I'm a student at WSU and I've been using Glean for 3 years. I actually started using Glean in my first year of college. I had decided to visit my school's access center to see if there were any resources that would make studying easier for me. I work full time, so I don't have hours to waste searching through my notes, and I was just kind of scribbling everything on paper, then losing track of it and It was not working for me.
Ande Farmer: The Access Center made me aware that I was eligible to use Glean, and since then I have relied on it and I use it every single day at school.
How has Genio (formerly Glean) helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Ande Farmer: I noticed Glean's impact on my education almost immediately. I was in some pretty tough classes and I was really scared for upcoming tests and how I was going to study for them. And Glean just made the whole process a lot easier. I ended up acing all those classes and then have continued to do really well in all my classes. I'm actually set to graduate summa cum laude this May.
Ande Farmer: Um. Glean really helped with my work-life balance because I, before I had Glean, I was spending so much time trying to find notes and studying and not understanding notes that I would take, and I didn't understand the context behind them. And so Glean's recording option has really helped me with that. And so everything's just kind of been a lot easier ever since I got Glean, you know, it's just been very smooth sailing.
Would you recommend Genio (formerly Glean) to other students?
Ande Farmer: I would 1000% recommend Glean to other students, especially those with
Ande Farmer: It takes stress off even when you're in class. You don't have to be worried about recording every single thing that the teacher is saying, so it just makes everybody's life just a little bit easier. I definitely recommend it to other students.
