What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Xe Wallace: Hi, my name is Xe. I am studying at University of Colorado Denver, and I've had Genio just for this semester because it is my first semester at this school and my first semester at college after like 5 years away, but Genio has been helpful to me, because I have a lot of challenges with auditory processing as part of some of my mental disabilities and physical disabilities and stuff like that. So having Genio and being able to record my lectures and go back and listen again if I missed something or heard something wrong, and also being able to do the transcriptions so that I can just read along as well has been super, super helpful to me and it's been easier to understand and retain information.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Xe Wallace: Genio has helped me by helping me not be as stressed out when I'm in class, trying to catch every single word and make sure I'm hearing the words properly and everything. So if I'm confused on what a professor or a fellow student or instructor or whatever said during a lecture, then I can go back to my Genio Notes and listen to it again and again, look at that transcription and fill in the blanks for myself, so it makes in class time a lot less anxiety inducing for me, because I don't have to try to force myself to zone in on the voice, because in doing that, I'd also not be able to take notes as well.
