What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Melisa Skerrett : Hi, my name is Melissa Skerrett. I am at Metro State University. I have been using Genio for one semester. And honestly, before I started using Genio, I struggled a lot with focusing during class because I have ADHD. So I would be so busy trying to take notes instead of actually listening to the lecture that I end up missing half of the lecture. Genio has helped me stay present and actually listen without stressing about what I might be missing. It's been a game changer, especially with the fact that I used to be a student that did not take advantage of the accessibility center that my school offered for people with ADHD and other things that are going on. Yeah, it was hard to concentrate and I'm so thankful for Genio.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Melisa Skerrett : Genio has helped me a lot with managing my ADHD and improving my grades. One of the biggest challenges for me has always been staying focused and keeping up during lectures. But with Genio, I can record everything and listen back later, which takes away the fear of missing something important. If I ever zone out or get distracted, I know I can just go back and review. I also really appreciate this transcription feature. It lets me read through everything that was said, which makes it easier for me to study and stay organized. Overall, Genio has made learning way less stressful and way more effective for me. I cannot say enough good things about it.
