What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Robin R Steeley: Hi, my name is Robin Steeley, and I go to Clark College in Vancouver, Washington, and I've been using Genio for about 2 months. I use Genio because I require accessibility modifications because I am neurodivergent and have physical disabilities, and it helps me process information. I have an auditory processing disorder, and so it was part of my accommodations, and I have found it to be incredibly useful. And as I'm moving into my next term, which will be full time, I expect that I will rely on it fairly heavily, and I am so grateful that it exists for students like me. I'm a returning student of 52 years old. I took a 35 year break in my academic plan and I am working hard towards my goals now for a transfer. Thank you so much. Thank you for Genio. How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Robin R Steeley: Hi, Genio has helped me, impacted my learning experiences and helped me with challenges by overall just acting as my memory. I have had 8 brain surgeries and due to my medical condition, and Genio allows me to transcribe so that I can read later and remember lectures, and it allows me to organize my notes. I'm honestly still understanding all the functions of it, being in my first term, but so far, I wish I had had this. I would have never dropped out of college in the first place if there was something like Genio. It has definitely cut down on the time I spend organizing my notes, and it has helped me regain the confidence to feel like I could complete my studies because I can remember the things I need to.
