What key challenges did you need help with before you started using Genio?
Evana Paterson: Hey, I'm Evana. I'm currently studying creative writing in the Creative Arts degree at QUT. I've been using Genio Notes for just under 2 months now. I started this degree in semester 2 of this year because I took a semester off after graduating from high school last year, just like working, travelling, that kind of thing. o when I heard about Genio Notes in orientation week for QUT, I thought it'd be a really great idea to help me because I'd obviously lost having that like study routine that you have in high school, so being able to acquire that through Genio Notes, a new platform I'd never heard of before, was really useful and encouraging for getting back into a good study routine.
How has Genio helped you with those challenges and impacted your learning experience?
Evana Paterson: So yeah, Genio Notes really helped me get back into a really good study routine because obviously I had no idea what I was doing when I started like the whole school life again, and so knowing that having it there recording your lectures, etc., was really nice, because you can look back at it later. Yes, your lectures are always recorded, but having the transcript is really useful and also knowing at the back of your brain that you don't have to worry about missing really important things because I tend to just write the things that stand out to me or like are relevant to me mostly, and, I kind of just don't have to worry about missing out and you can really just focus and tune into what your lecturer's saying. So it doesn't just float by you because you're just typing everything out, which is super handy and I love that you don't have to stress about anything.
