How would you describe Genio (formerly Glean) to another student?
Moira Toledo: Glean is definitely a game changer for me when it comes to my academics. I used to get extremely overwhelmed having to choose how to take my notes, when and what to take my notes with, but Glean has made it easy for me to access everything I would need for note taking in one place. So that would be my audio recordings, my lecture slides, my notes, all in one place, in one platform. And it's really something I wish I had in my first year of university.
What would you say Genio (formerly Glean) has helped you the most with?
Moira Toledo: I'd say Glean has helped me the most with kickstarting my studying and really getting myself geared up to look through my lectures, look through my notes all in one place. It used to be such a chore having to open up everything, and it usually gets me really paralyzed, and I'm not usually able to get started. Sometimes it's as easy as opening up the app and seeing what you need to tackle, seeing what lectures you need to tackle, having those notes ready, having the transcription of the lecture recording ready so that you really know what you're getting into and you know how to get it started.
What would you say is the thing you like the most about Genio (formerly Glean)?
Moira Toledo: The thing that I like the most about Glean is how easy it is to use and how easy it is to dive in into all the features that it offers. And it might be silly, but I really like that you're able to label the notes that you make as either heading, review, or important and there's these little tiny icons that makes it really easy to identify, and it makes it so much easier to see that as you're recording, as you're looking at your notes, and it makes it so much easier to review after the lecture.
If you could say something to encourage another student to use Genio (formerly Glean), what would it be?
Moira Toledo: One thing I would say is that every student, no matter whether you've had a set way of note taking or your own way of doing things when you study, is that everyone deserves a good app that works for them and helps them organize the notes in the best possible manner. And I think that Glean has made it so much more effective to study and really tackle the hurdles that usually comes with studying, especially when it has to do a lot with getting started and opening up everything that needs to be started.
