How would you describe Genio (formerly Glean) to another student?
Liliana Chow: I would describe Glean as a way to record your lectures as well as come back to lectures recorded earlier in a way that makes it more accessible for students. I personally use Glean to upload slides and take notes directly on top of the recording. I like how I can flag sections of the recording to come back to later. And that way, if for instance I take a little bit longer to process during the lecture or the professor goes a bit too fast and I'm not able to understand it in the moment, I can flag that section and come back to it later. So, um, one of the main ways I would describe Glean is making education more accessible for everyone.
What would you say Genio (formerly Glean) has helped you the most with?
Liliana Chow: I would say that Glean has helped me stay on top of my classes. So being able to record my lectures to come back to them later, perhaps if I'm not feeling well enough to fully pay attention in class, or if for whatever circumstance I'm not able to pay attention to the whole lecture, Glean has really helped me to make learning more accessible.
What would you say is the thing you like the most about Genio (formerly Glean)?
Liliana Chow: The thing that I like the most about Glean is being able to directly take notes on top of the recording. And that way when I flag the recording, I know exactly where to come back to later when I'm studying.
If you could say something to encourage another student to use Genio (formerly Glean), what would it be?
Liliana Chow: If I could say something to encourage another student to use Glean, I would say just try it out.
Liliana Chow: So, maybe see if there's some sort of free trial or anything you can do to see how it would fit in with your schedule when your study happens.
