How would you describe Genio (formerly Glean) to another student?
Leah Preston: So Glean is a note taking app and a study tool designed to help students like myself and you organize and review different content from lectures effectively. It enables you to record audio and allows you to highlight key points that you might have had from the lecture.
What would you say Genio (formerly Glean) has helped you the most with?
Leah Preston: So for me personally, Glean has enabled me to stay engaged within lectures and not get too distracted because it enables me to write very simple notes about the pressure of writing anything very detailed because I can always go back to it after the lecture.
What would you say is the thing you like the most about Genio (formerly Glean)?
Leah Preston: The one thing I like about it is actually how easy it is to get the gist of. Sometimes when you get extra programming to help you with your uni work, it can actually be quite confusing or I actually have to understand the program. But Glean, I found it very easy and it wasn't too complicated to get used to.
If you could say something to encourage another student to use Genio (formerly Glean), what would it be?
Leah Preston: So for me, Glean takes the stress out of note taking. Instead of scrambling to write everything down, you can actually focus on the lecture and what's happening at the moment, because all you need to do is take simple bullet points. It enables me to keep organized, retain information better during the lecture, and it actually makes my note taking feel way more effective and it means a lot more to me.
