Speaker: Bethany Lunnon
How has Genio (formerly Glean) helped you build confidence, improve your study habits, or unlock new opportunities?
Bethany Lunnon : As a biomed student, I have a lot of content to get through. Genio has helped me to level up my lecture game with time stamped notes so that I can easily navigate the audio as well as AI features such as Quiz Me, that's great for a post-lecture reflection. The search function is also super handy, allowing you to search through not only your notes, but the transcript of all of your events.
How do you usually use Genio (formerly Glean)?
Bethany Lunnon : As I'm on quite a lecture heavy degree, I mostly use Genio to record and make notes on my lectures, and I'm able to flag certain points to come back to and a review later as well as after the lecture using the AI Quiz Me feature to reflect on my learning. And I also use the notes view to make flashcards, so I'm able to see the slides and my notes simultaneously and then from both of those pieces of information, make flashcards covering all the content that is relevant.
If you could say something to another student to encourage them to use Genio (formerly Glean), what would it be?
Bethany Lunnon : I would say, do you ever wish you could have one place for everything, because that's what Genio does. It allows you to record events, it allows you to write to do lists, it allows you to add assignments and dates for assignments, as well as reviewing content using the outline and AI Quiz Me features. And you're able to organize your classes. So it's almost like having your brain in your hand. It's so great to be able to have everything all in one place. And I would highly recommend it to any student.
