How would you describe Genio (formerly Glean) to another student?
Ash Moisan: Glean is a note-taking tool that's designed to help students capture, organize, and review lecture content more effectively. It records audio while allowing you to highlight key points, add notes, and structure information in a way that makes studying easier. Unlike traditional note taking, Glean encourages active engagement by breaking information into manageable sections. That helps with comprehension and recall. It's especially useful for students who struggle with keeping up during lectures, or students who prefer more interactive approach to reviewing the material.
What would you say Genio (formerly Glean) has helped you the most with?
Ash Moisan: Glean has helped me the most with reducing stress about missing sections of notes. Since it records lectures and allows for easy organizations of key points, there's no pressure to write everything down in the moment. This makes it clear to this makes it easier to stay focused during class, while knowing that important details can be reviewed later. It's also improved my studying by making notes more structured and accessible, leading to better retention and comprehension.
What would you say is the thing you like the most about Genio (formerly Glean)?
Ash Moisan: The thing I like most about Glean is the ability to upload PowerPoints directly. This makes it so much easier to keep track of what slide we were on when I'm reviewing my notes. It helps connect the lecture audio with the visual content, which makes studying more organized and efficient. Instead of scrambling to match my notes with the correct presentation and slides, everything's already in one place, which just makes it more easier. It makes revision so much smoother, and it saves me time.
If you could say something to encourage another student to use Glean, what would it be?
Ash Moisan: One thing I would say is that if ever you feel overwhelmed by trying to keep up with lecture note, Glean is a game changer. It keeps the stress out of note taking by letting you focus on listening in class while still capturing everything important, with features like audio recording, PowerPoint uploads, easy organization, reviewing is just so much more efficient. It's like kind of having a safety net for your notes, so you don't miss any key details. I definitely recommend giving it a try, and it just makes everything so much easier.
