Speaker: Cara G.
How did you become a caregiver?
Cara G.: I've kind of always been a caregiver. Um, I started taking care of my grandmother when I was 11 and she had just had her first knee replacement. So I've been taking care of her ever since. It just feels natural and she took care of me. So now it's my turn to take care of her.
What does it mean to you to be a Caregiver?
Cara G.: Caregiving is when there's someone in need they need help with. Maybe it's everyday life getting up in the morning, eating, bathing. Um, a caregiver is someone that steps in and they're there for that person. Someone that, that person can depend on to help them in their day to day life.
