Speaker: Anne Tsirnikas, Owner, Floors & More
What problem was your company dealing with before Floorzap?
Anne Tsirnikas: My husband and I purchased the flooring store about a year ago, , from a couple that was using more of a built out version of Quickbooks. , but there really wasn't a streamlined process that the employees could follow from start to finish, especially because the warehouse is not at the same location as the room. So before Floorzap, the old owners were kind of struggling through their process. there was a lot less organization and coming into the flooring industry being new to it. We knew that we at least needed a good basis to run our company and Floorzap seemed to be the best fit for that.
How did Floorzap help resolve this challenge?
Anne Tsirnikas: As newbies in the Flooring Industry Floorzap really just helped give us peace of mind that we weren't losing a ton of information. So it walked us through, start to finish when we got a lead to whenever we closed a job. it allowed us to see how many times a customer viewed a quote. It allowed us to be able to make sure our warehouse girl ordered the material and when it came in and, how much our installer actually picked up versus what they returned. and then paying the installer and paying our vendors was also organized. So Floorzap just gave us a one stop to be able to see really all that was going on with our company, which has been super nice and was just a good basis. As people stepping into a new business, a new industry that were kinda feeling like we were in over our heads.
What results did you get with Floorzap?
Anne Tsirnikas: But the results that we did notice at least from like builders we had worked with that also worked with the previous owners. They made comments about how it's a lot easier to work with us because there's a clear communication which is due to Floorzap. And they're able to know what's going on more. They're able to see their quotes know when they install is scheduled and things like that. I think the installers really like being able to have a calendar in an app. And then that also carries over to easily being able to print out work orders um for them that shows what they're getting paid. So there's not really anything No surprises there. So the results, I don't necessarily have any from a sales perspective on if our sales increased dramatically from before whenever we are running without Floorzap to running with Floorzap. But I will say um we did get good feedback from people that, we worked with, that also worked with the old owners that said it just felt a lot more organized. and anyone's able to look at a job and see if the materials here yet or if the material has been ordered or what they had. So if anyone's calling in, there's no question, they just pull up floors at their customer profile, they can see everything and so everyone's on the same page and communications a lot better.
Why is Floorzap different from other similar products?
Anne Tsirnikas: So about a month before we closed on the business, I knew that I needed to get going with figuring out what software system we were gonna want to use because it was gonna be crucial to us stepping into this company and keeping things organized. and so I did research into RFMS um RFMS and what I found was most people said it was geared towards much larger companies and it was very clunky and very expensive. So I didn't even go through tutorial with them. Q-floors I did go through tutorials with and I just didn't like the setup. I feel that I'm pretty um capable and I can be a quick learner. And that I'm pretty good with technology, but going through that tutorial with them, nothing felt intuitive, nothing felt like I could get a team on to be able to navigate the system. Well, it didn't feel like there was a flow to it. And another big thing was it cost about $10,000. At least what they quoted me to get everything up and running with Q-floors. And honestly, at the time we were just buying the company and I just didn't have that kind of money to drop, at the moment, but I don't even know if I'd really be comfortable spending that kind of money, even if we were looking at something now, which we're much better off now. So when it came to Floorzap, I liked that it was much more affordable to get in, , and get moving with the software. And I could just tell from that first tutorial, there was more of a flow and it was more intuitive and it just made me feel a lot more comfortable that the company was able to develop that. So they would be able to hold up whenever we actually got to the nitty gritty of it. And we're going through the details of things and I needed multiple people to be able to operate the software to be able to run our company. Well.
