Speaker: Rodney Murray, Product Manager, Implementation Operations

Why do you love working at Flock?

Rodney Murray: working at Flock is not just about being an employee at a company, it's a lot bigger than that. It's about being a part of something super meaningful, a shared journey towards a safer world.

Alyssa Holmes: I love working for Flock for a number of reasons. But I would say that the, that mostly just mostly boils down to the people and the mission

Rodney Murray: Our mission, eliminating crime and keeping your community safe. I have two little girls growing up in this world and I go to work every day knowing that I'm making a big difference in their life today and certainly in their future

Alyssa Holmes: And then our mission to you know, to solve crime. Uh We're, we're improving communities and I, I don't see that as some pie in the sky sort of endeavor like you, you may feel at other, at other companies that I've worked for in the past, you know, you're, you're working for some sort of eventual payout, working diligently because one day things might change or you just don't see it. You're just not in a position where you can easily see the, the outcome of that. But at Flock, we're solving crime every day.

Rodney Murray: their future, one of the first one of the first things I noticed and love about working at Flock is the amount of care everyone has. We're all on th is mission together to eliminate crime and it shows how important that is to everyone. Um based on how hard working fast pace and caring everyone is in everything they do

Alyssa Holmes: I've always felt immersed in a culture of helpfulness. People are very friendly, they treat you well. And it's uh actually allowed me to bring my full authenticity to bear, which is a wonderful feeling and experience.

Rodney Murray: I come up from a place in my career where I was unsure if I wanted to continue down the management track, managing 12 people across three countries, doing less and less individual contributor work. But being at Flock, I realized I was able to bring all that leadership and knowledge into a role to deliver an insane amount of value both internally and externally. Flock empowers me to do that every day

Ty Moddelmog: I really love the way that decisions are made here at Flock. I feel like at most companies have worked at before, I have toiled for hours over beautiful powerpoints that get presented to folks of uh who are paying varying levels of attention. Um And the decision is kind of already kind of there baked in. Uh Whereas here you're encouraged to sit down, you know, write a one pager distributed days before a meeting where the decision needs to be made. Folks have ample opportunity to engage and to encode their thoughts and, and comments. I think that makes for a much richer discussion where a diversity of opinions and and thoughts are heard from different functions and different levels within the organization. And in so doing, I think our decision quality is quite a bit higher um to sum it up. I love the no slide, write it in a doc, comment on the dock culture. Um And I think that that, that just improves my quality of life and the um the quality of decisions that we make.

Rodney Murray: Flock is also big on supporting, giving back to the community and empowering me to recruit and run volunteer events like toys for tots

Alyssa Holmes: Uh I can go and see the fruits of our, our noble and collective efforts every single day. And I find that very motivational and when you couple that with the people uh that you get to work with the, the joy to work with the delight. Uh You end up with a recipe for a very engaging and meaningful place to work. And that is why I love working at Flock.

Rodney Murray: So why do I love working at flock? Flock cares about me being part of the mission just means more, the people working here, the best to collaborate with and the work itself. It's fast paced, highly rewarding and always feels like I'm able to make such a big impact. What more could you ask for?
