Can you share why you’re interested in the Corporate Tax Assistant role?

Thaslima Hamid: I believe I have the needed skills and have needed experience and knowledge. You need to excel in this position. Um First of all, I have a Bachelor's in finance and accounting. Um And after I graduated, I was employed by an accounting firm over there, I was given many, many clients, self mostly self assessment tax returns, self assessment. Clients were to do self assessment tax returns during this whole process. I used Excel for hours and hours and hours. I used words, please word, I use Microsoft word um to finish my final accounts. Um I also emailed my clients asking for missing documents, informing them of the deadlines and explaining certain jargon jargon to them. And this is so this whole experience could be really smooth and accessible to them for them and very transparent. So they weren't out of the loop and there were no and there was no miscommunication. Um I also have had various one to ones with my manager, but he did say he did give me positive feedback and said that my work was completed um according to the deadline according to the agency and I did have a good judgment of how to organize my work. Um I keep a planner. So I'm really organized with my deadlines. Um because often I had multiple deadlines within one week or like within a month um or even within a day. So I had to work, organize my preparation.

Please share something about yourself that isnt on your CV.

Thaslima Hamid: I am terrified of insects and, and in order to minimize my fear, like to expose myself, which isn't really the right thing to do. Um, an example would be I like to go on hikes. Um I forgot on my last hike was because I did go as a group. Um We did end up in a cave but above above us on the roof bit, there were cat caterpillar was dangling. It was very frightening experience, but it was really rewarding once you reach the end. Um I believe it's important to test your limits. Um, and to always better yourself. So this is just an example, but I do like to improve myself by reading books, learning new things and just trying out new things because challenge is always good.

Describe your perfect company culture.

Thaslima Hamid: My perfect company culture would be where I'm working in an environment where I'm constantly getting challenged in my skill in my skills and knowledge, where I'm constantly improving. And I'd like to also work in a, in a company where I can't ask for help and I can receive help when I hit certain roadblocks and certain stumps. Um I would also would like to work in an organization where communication is supported amongst coworkers. Um And where, where we are working for an overall goal, but everyone is on the same boat in a way. Um

Describe the perfect team

Thaslima Hamid: The perfect team would be whether the members don't have the same ability, abilities where different members have different strengths and weaknesses because that would cause a nice balance. Um Within the team, everyone should get along with one another. They should be able to communicate if someone hits a roadblock. Um they should be able to ask for assistance um from another team member. Um Everyone in that team should be able to complete their own tasks independently, but obviously, sometimes challenges do arise. Um And they should be able to communicate with other members within the team. Like I'm saying, team a lot and create a resolution. Um They should also like to work with one another that is very important. Work. Culture is very important. Um They should like to come to work and complete the work. Um Although most of the work is independent. If something is needed, they should be able to ask, I think, ask one another, they should be, they should be accessible to one another within the firm. Um I think that creates a really strong team and the perfect team.
