Can you share why you’re interested in the Corporate Tax Assistant role?
Billy Parker: OK, there are two reasons why I am interested in a corporate tax system role. The first one being my experience. So I done accounting and finance at university where I specifically chose a tax module for the particular reason of going into tax as a career path. And my previous experience uh in my year in industry doing a similar role to what is advertised. And I feel like I accomplished quite a lot in that role. I, I've done quite well. Um And I developed my skill set quite a lot in a role making me suited to this opportunity. And I feel like I can further develop my skills and pursue a career into tax through this role, which I'm looking forward to the opportunity to do that. The second reason why I wanna, I am interested in this role is my previous experience at FLN. I am familiar with the people working there within, with the tax team, within the tax team. And I feel like that is only an advantage. It allows me to fit right into the team. And I really enjoyed my time at FLM previously and I would just love to work for the company again, as I feel like it's a great company where I can really see myself spending a good few years there making a career.
Please share something about yourself that isnt on your CV.
Billy Parker: Sign that isn't on my CV. One thing I think is not on my CV, which is a personal hobby of mine is tracking and rating all the different TV shows, books and movies I consume on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. I have multiple different spreadsheets, all set up on my PC where I track the different shows. I'm watching different books. I'm reading different games. I'm playing, uh, just for my own personal enjoyment. I find it's like I do enjoy it. Like I use quite often when deciding on other things I'm going to consume in terms of media and it's just like what I've al I've enjoyed, I've enjoyed always kind of writing stuff, kind of analyzing, thinking about certain products on a deeper level. And I felt like this method has allowed me to do that. And it's like I really enjoying a hobby that I, um, I'm enjoying it similar to stuff like R DB letterbox, but I just have my own personal spreadsheet where I can kind of do what I want of it and it's just a hobby that I have and I enjoy and it allows me to use some of my skills on Excel, which I would not use on a other, any other time.
Describe your perfect company culture.
Billy Parker: A perfect company culture. One of the first things I think of when I think of a perfect company culture is inclusivity. Inclusivity for me is just showing everyone is welcome. Everyone's welcome to join the company. Everyone's valued, everyone's appreciated deeply and having that makes gives a company very familiar family sort of or a vibe about them, which only encourages people to work harder. I also want to be a part of a company which like when people need help, if I need help, it's like um it's very easy just to go around, ask other people for help doing that, just giving a sense of familiar family because you're not afraid to go and ask for help and stuff like that because I feel like that crate allows the company to be a nice place to feel like you're not when you're at work, you enjoy your time there. And I feel like that is just last shows when, when you go to work and you enjoy your time working, that shows that the company has a good culture, you're enjoying your time there. And that's what I look for. Just inclusive uh open, helpful, a company what is a com a company, what backs their employees and sticks up for them? That's what I think of. Perfect company culture.
Describe the perfect team
Billy Parker: The perfect team for me quite simply is a team that is reliable and they have your back. I think that is two crucial things you need to have as a perfect team. Because when you're relying on other people, you need to have faith that they will provide for you, they will do what you need them to do without you stressing uh having your back. If you need help, if you're struggling, you can reach out to any member of the team and they'll come back to you with advice with different ways they can help you. This is just the perfect team scenario for me as it is similar to parts of football or other team sports. Anything that involves a team is the same thing. If you can't rely on your teammates and they don't have your back, you're never going to succeed. And no matter how good you are individually as a t there's no I in team, it's quite simple is that you need a, the machine only works as well is all the different parts. And yeah, I feel like the team needs to be reliable and um have your back. So if your team doesn't have your back then. I don't think you have much shots going anywhere. So that's what I think a perfect thing is for me.
