What is your name and what is your role?
Yusuf Balogun: My name is Yusuf and I work in the finance department within FLM.
What do you do on a day to day basis?
Yusuf Balogun: So on a day to day basis, my role does vary but some of the most important things I do are getting a new fee payers set up on direct debit. and the corporate clients. Also reconciling all the company cards and ensuring that any overdue fees are being chased and the clients know that payment is due. And also another thing I do is ensuring that all expenses that are put through by employees within the business are paid because I know that's an important part of the business that everyone wants.
What do you love most about your role?
Yusuf Balogun: Well, from a young age I've always been interested in the finance within business. It's something that's always piqued my interest and it's something that I've always been intrigued to learn more about. And I've always just wondered how finance runs within the business and how everything does reconcile at the end of it.
What has been your pathway to this role?
Yusuf Balogun: My pathway into this role was relatively straightforward because finance is something I've always done. I did finance at university and upon graduating university, I got my first role in accounts and it's been pretty much accounting roles and finance roles ever since. And when this opportunity at FLM presented itself, it's a opportunity. I jumped at. I've been loving it ever since.

Yusuf Balogun: One lie, one truth. Uh, I'm an Olympic level swimmer and at the age of 16 I had the chance to go pro as a professional footballer.

Yusuf Balogun: Uh, the lie is I'm an Olympic level swimmer. I can't swim.
