Speaker: James Feneley
What is your name and what is your role?
James Feneley: Hi, I'm James. absolutely love doing this sort of thing. So, thanks initially to Spencer. I am one of the financial advisers here.
What do you do on a day to day basis?
James Feneley: On a day to day basis. my role is to spend time with clients, giving them advice on what to do with their money effectively. Yeah, and that's about it really.
What do you love most about your role?
James Feneley: What I love most about the role, has got to be sort of going out meeting different people spending time with different clients. Yeah, and it's the fact that you're not sort of stuck behind a computer screen the whole time. Yeah. Out and about, and sort of socialising. And, yeah, I think that's probably why and what's, yeah, the most enjoyable part.
What has been your pathway to this role?
James Feneley: So my pathway to this role, I guess I had absolutely no idea, believe it or not, what I wanted to do. Yeah, when I went to Uni, and then my life was effectively sort of playing tennis and I never really thought about what the plan was. I then started working this awful job for what I thought was gonna be like, three months, ended up being sort of three years in some sort of like events, recruitment type job, which I absolutely hated. I then had the pleasure of meeting, sort of Stoney and Sally, um, through that old job and they talked through this financial advice thing. That sounded quite interesting. So I thought I would, give it a go and turned out quite enjoyed it. They'll probably say I'm not very good at it but, you know, I enjoy the job and been here for about nine years now. So, yeah, complete fluke basically is how we got here but turned out. Ok.
Tell us 1 lie and 1 truth
James Feneley: Uh one lie, one truth. So in no particular order and I apparently not supposed to tell you which one's, which until in a minute, I completed a full ironman or I have played tennis with Roger Federer.
which one was the lie?
James Feneley: So the lie was Tennis with, with Roger. Yeah, never, never stepped on court with that man. Thankfully and yeah, the truth was obviously the other one. So, yeah, that's about it.
Who do you want to hear from next month?
James Feneley: Who I want to hear from next month? Let's throw it over to, to the Okellater, Charlie would be lovely to hear from him.
