Speaker: Pippa Ganderton
What is your name (if you are happy to share) and who is your FLM Adviser?
Pippa Ganderton: My name is Pippa Ganderton. And my FLM advisor is Will Holden.
Can you tell us a little bit about your journey with FLM and your adviser?
Pippa Ganderton: I started my journey with FLM. Oh, well, over six years ago, now, I think um at that time, I was uh liaising with Caitlyn Caitlyn Lambert who's now on maternity. Um and within a couple of years or so that uh when will joined the company, then will um obviously became part of the team and is now my, my advisor, I started with a very modest um investment at that point and I've worked closely with, with Will and previously with Caitlyn to put money in a little bit of money every month. But also really followed a lot of good advice around how to avoid uh an increased HMRC um taxation by increasing the amounts I invest in my pension. We have a nice spread um across various uh items in the portfolio. Um And I found that the, the advisers have always been very approachable, knowledgeable. Um and and just good to deal with, easy to deal with. Um I have had obviously some concerns over the years we've been through ups and downs um financial crises and various things. And I have found that will Kaitlyn have always been very, very approachable and we've had some very good conversations over time. They also helped me when um we had bereavements within my family. Both my parents are now deceased, unfortunately. Um, but they help me again, uh make the right decisions with the investment of my inheritance. So I'm very appreciative of that.
How has your adviser added value to your life?
Pippa Ganderton: I think I've probably answered how my advisor has added value to my life in the previous uh response. Um As I said, life has gone through many changes since I started investing with FLM with a, a very small contribution on a monthly basis. My role has uh changed at work. My salary has increased. We've also gone through stages where we've had incentives and no incentives because of financial crises and where the business is. And uh we've gone through um inheritances and investments of money associated with that. So um in terms of all of that and finding the right advice to address each of those situations, um they have really helped in adding value.
Why do you choose to work with FLM and your adviser over other Financial Planning companies?
Pippa Ganderton: Trust is the absolute critical word uh to answer why I choose to work with FLM over other financial companies. Um And my advisor in particular trust is a hugely important factor when it gets to looking after one's wealth, um especially as life um progresses and I'm now hopefully just a few years away from retiring, um and making the right decisions and building right pots of money and also having uh money available and accessible um when required um is very important. Uh I, I don't think I have easily built that trust with others. Um So I'm very happy that I have that relationship uh with FLM and my advisor.
Is there anything else you can share about your experience of working with your Adviser and the wider FLM team?
Pippa Ganderton: My experience of working with Will and previously with Caitlin, um has always been a positive one. And that's why I like to continue to, to work with them. Um or to maintain that relationship. I like the proactivity on occasion. Um Proactivity is very important when markets are changing and they find time when we can occasionally get together, um be that remotely or in person for a proper review, the reviews I find are very well put together. I, I really find those packs very useful and it forces me to look in detail as well at things that I probably should do a little bit more often. But as we know, life gets in the way, um and we rely on our advisors and people like that to do a lot of the hard work for us. So, yeah, that's my experience summed up. Thank you.
