Speaker: Andrew Williams
What is your name (if you are happy to share) and who is your FLM Adviser?
Andrew Williams: My name is Andrew Williams and my financial advisor is Jack Doublet.
Can you tell us a little bit about your journey with FLM and your adviser?
Andrew Williams: Uh I've had a great journey so far with FLM. Uh I must say it's been, it's been fantastic, mainly because of Jack. Um I met Jack just over three years ago through an introduction from a friend of mine from work. Um not only is Jack, such a great guy, he is surrounded by wonderful people. His team are fantastic. Um You know, we have always had such great service from them. Um But more importantly, Jack and his team really understand the complexities of our, of our situation. Um They understand our business and, and the sort of nuances of it and really that it brings a lot of comfort to his clients and especially to myself given, you know, we, we are sometimes very difficult questions that require uh interesting answers. And um you know, because of Jack's knowledge of our business and he has other clients in similar situations, he's able to provide such sound advice, allowing us to be more particularly in our decision making. Uh And we are just super thankful. Um He has always been on hand to answer really complicated questions but also just silly questions. Um But he's also been great in, in helping me set up myself and my family for financial freedom uh for the rest of our lives. And uh I'm incredibly thankful for him. Uh I don't just call him uh sort of somebody that works alongside me, but I call him my friend and uh I'm very, I'm very lucky to have Jack and my family as well. Uh He doesn't just look after me, but he looks after all of us. So thank you Jack and also call out to Safe. Thank you, Safe Mate for always giving me sound advice as well and documentation on all things related to our, our business. And um and I'm just very thankful.
How has your adviser added value to your life?
Andrew Williams: How has my advisor added value to my life? Well, uh how long do we have? Really? Is the, is the question. Um Jack's just such a good guy. I don't really know what else to say. He is one of the most genuine thoughtful people I've ever met. Um He is always happy to take a phone call. Uh I feel like my relationship with Jack is maybe a little bit different to others. Uh We, we connected from day one from the moment he from day one, he was just incredibly open with me. He's, he first, he was incredibly knowledgeable of our business and, and uh the situation that we are in which meant it was really easy to kind of ask him interesting questions, um questions that really probably only need a really simple answer, but he was there to really dumb it down and uh and make it simple for myself and my family to make a decision on uh you know, where we, where are we gonna place our money and how do we start setting ourselves up for financial, financial freedom going forward? Um He's personal that he knows my family's names. He knows my little girl's name. He asks about them. He's interested in them. He's genuinely cares about, you know, how he can add value to our lives and he adds value just by being who he is ultimately. And I think a lot of people can learn from Jack. Uh I think business is not always just transactional. It's, it's a relationship and 99% of the time it is all about relationship because he, we already know he's got the skills to do what he, what he does best. But if he was not a nice person and it was difficult to get on with him, you know, that transactional piece would make would be even harder, but it really isn't. Um But Jack, it's just super straightforward um sound guy. Uh and I'm proud to call him, my friend and my family is proud to call him part of our family because he is um he deals with very sensitive things and he deals with such precision and sensitivity and uh and for that, I'm so incredibly thankful for him. And uh yeah, I don't really know what else to say other than I look forward to partnering Jack. Sometimes I do wonder like what happens if he leaves. Um You know what happens to who replaces Jack. Uh But thankfully that isn't the case and uh I'm just thankful for him. So thank you, Mr Duble.
Why do you choose to work with FLM and your adviser over other Financial Planning companies?
Andrew Williams: That's a good question. Um There are obviously a lot of financial companies, uh financial planning companies out there other than FLM. Um, and even within a FLM, there obviously are, are opportunities and options, but it all boils down to the person. It, it really is as simple as that. Um, you know, looking at, you know, other companies with maybe better rates and better fees. The, the truth is that our business is a little bit more complicated and because Jack has worked with other people for my company, it meant that him understanding the, the sort of business and the nuances of our business made it much simpler for me to come to him with questions that I didn't know the answers to that he was easily able to answer. But that's because he took the time to learn about our business. He took the time to, you know, work with us to understand the new answers so that he is way more prepared to answer the questions that we, uh, that we have for him. And, and, and so, and, and then beyond that, obviously, because he's such a nice guy and he is so genuine and open to answering everything and being there for us and, and supporting us and seeing us succeed because, uh you know, the more we succeed, the more he succeeds. And I think that's always a good relationship. It's always about like, how can I bring value to my customer because when they succeed, I succeed. Right. It's, it's a great sort of relationship there. And so, um I choose to stay with FLM because of Jack. Uh I choose to stay with him because he understands my situation. He understands my ambitions and my goals for myself and my family. And, uh, and because of that is why I stay with FLM. And so, uh, again, yeah, it's, it's really down to relationship. Um, obviously fees, et cetera are a big part of that as well. And so, you know, on a transactional level, you know, where there's a possibility to work with somebody as well as getting a good deal. Um, somebody good, for example. Right. Making sure someone's a good person and you're getting a good, um, deal sort of out of the situation. It's a win, win for me. So that's why I stay with FLM.
Is there anything else you can share about your experience of working with your Adviser and the wider FLM team?
Andrew Williams: Ok, so here we are 505. I don't think I've ever done this much selfie video ever so to whoever has to listen to me and to those of you who are listening to me, I hope your ears aren't bleeding. Um But thank you for taking the time. Uh Last question is last, last answer to your question is, yeah, I mean, there isn't anything different. Uh I think, you know, for a person like me who doesn't really want to get into the weeds of all the complications of financial planning and pick and choosing every single stock that I buy, et cetera. Like your service is just perfect. It's perfect for the type of person that I am where I want good service. I want open and honest discussions. I want open honest feedback. I want someone who is professional who is, um you know, ultimately going to help me create a plan that will see myself and my family succeed for the rest of our lives and help us be more comfortable. I'm also looking for someone who is also gonna challenge me and challenge my thinking and challenging my, my, my plan or my ideas and I feel like I've got that with Jack. Um, he is not, he's not shy to, to suggest an alternative idea. Um, which is great. And so, you know, I think whenever it comes to dealing with money, it's a very sensitive topic. It always sort of emotes feelings and, and emotions out of people because it's, you know, it's, people's hard earned money. Right. And so, you know, I've always said, you know, Jack, if you make money, I make money and if I make money, you make money, right? Um And so I, I'm, I'm just thankful to have him as a partner and I'm looking forward to working with Jack in the future and uh, and making sure that myself and my and my family are financially secure as the years approach. And, uh again, just super thankful for, for him and his friendship and his partnership and uh here to a wonderful 2024 head and again, thank you to everybody at FLM for your support. Um Thank you for creating a business that you have, that services your customers very well. Um I can only speak on, on, on behalf of Jack, but I'm sure all the other advisors out there are great. And um, thank you so much for uh for your help and service.
