What problem is Financial Cents solving for your firm?

Hope Blankenship: Hey, my name is Hope Lincoln and I'm one of the owners at two, the rescue bookkeeping. We're a firm of 11 people and three owners uh located across four different states um in the United States. Uh We've been in business for almost 20 years and we started using financial since roughly two years ago. Uh We really, I just needed something that was specific to the bookkeeping and accounting industry for task management, project management, um and kind of client client management. Um And financial sense has been transformative in our firm in terms of helping us with productivity and efficiency. Um Man, we have cut, cut out so many like emails back and forth, lost emails, um due dates, all of those things. There's so, so much that financial sense offers that has really helped us. Um We're able to chat back and forth with clients. We're able to request documentation from them and they can upload it in a secure format. We're able to keep our proposals and our on boarding process um schedule on there for each new client that, that we're on boarding or proposals that we're doing. Um Each client has their own profile. We're able to keep up with their contact information and important things that are happening in their business um as well as of course, the, the weekly and monthly and quarterly and annual tasks that you have to do for each client when they become your client. Um And so our efficiency and productivity has so improved and it wouldn't have been to the extent that it is today without financial sense. So we are so grateful and so blessed. Um On top of they have the best customer service. If there's something missing, they're super open to being able to, to hear, hear our industry out and hear the people that are actually working on the software um and really be able to, to make a change and, and bring that feature to us um as a whole. And so that has been a blessing. So we are so thankful and grateful for financial sense and um we hope that we have a long partnership with them.

What are your favourite Financial Cents features?

Hope Blankenship: Hey, some of my favorite features of financial sense are the tags that you can use um on each project or each client uh for our firm specifically, we have tags uh like waiting on client or waiting on account manager. Um What that allows us to do is as management. Look at the dashboard of all of our clients that are being worked on or projects and quickly see what are we waiting on and what account manager are we waiting on because they're assigned to someone, um or what manager are they waiting on or waiting on review? Um So we use tags for everything. Uh It really helps um minimize having to check in with the, the employee on where we are. Um The chat feature is also great. Something new that we've started using is the client um portal where you can actually request documentation um from the client in a very simple format. They don't have to log into anything. They don't have to remember passwords for anything, but it's a very easy process where they can just upload the things we need and then uh we get notified that they've upload or completed that that task. Um And so that's extremely helpful to be able to uh to manage our time well and efficiently uh to be able to know that we have all the stuff there that we need to be able to do this project or um this job uh to completion and, and, and not having to wait um or log into something and double check that somebody did something and send a reminder and all the things that come with that. So, um, I would say our two top features are uh the client portal and the tags.

How would you describe Financial Cents in three words?

Hope Blankenship: Three words I would use to describe financial sense is helpful, efficient and customizable. Um It's been extremely helpful and efficient in our firm. It's helped us um cut down on multiple emails back and forth. Um Management time checking in on where a client status is. Um And, and it's just been extremely helpful to every process surrounding our firm. Uh We use it for client onboarding employee on boarding. Um And then client task management. Um And it has just been so helpful, especially because we're a remote firm. Um And so we're in some different, different time zones. So um we can log in as management and see where somebody is on a client task um or client project and not really have to, to call them or text them outside of business hours to figure out where we are. Um You know, if we're in a meeting or what not. And then I would say customizable in a good sense when I see customizable because I do not have an I T background or software background. That kind of scares me sometimes I won't buy software because it says it's so customizable. Um But financial sense is simply customizable. Um It, it allows us to use different features specific to how we need to use them at our firm. Um But it's not so rigid or structured um in, in the way that it's set up that you could only use it for this, you know, situation. Um And so it's very easy, it's, it's, it's not complex. Um And it's, it's just easy to figure out and tailor that software to our company um without being overwhelmingly customizable. Um So we love financial sense.

How is Financial Cents different from other similar products or services?

Hope Blankenship: Financial sense is different in terms of other Softwares we've used, um, some other Softwares we've used have been very confusing in the terms of custom, uh, being able to customize it to what we need it to do. Um, or it hasn't really been specific to our industry. Um, there are some things, you know, we do things on a schedule, weekly, sometimes daily, quarterly, annually. Um, and it's very, very easy to set up, um, set up that reoccurring calendar. It's very easy to chat with a client. Um, everything is labeled well. Um, I don't have to guess where I need to go within the software to do what I need to do. Um, and so it's all labeled very well. Um, and, and there's multiple ways to get to things much like Quickbooks in our, in our industry or other software, but it's not overwhelming. Um, there might be two ways to get to something. Um, but it's very easy to follow very good flow. Um, has great color coding. So people in our industry tend to tend to love organization and tend to love color coding and things like that. Um And so we've just really enjoyed it, specific to our firm and specific to the needs that we, we have in our industry in terms of accounting and bookkeeping, um to really be able to set our firm up for success and our employees up for success on staying on task with the hundreds of tasks they could have um for their client load um per week or month. Um And so we've really, we really enjoyed that it is customizable, but not overly complicated in order to be customizable. Um And the price uh is, is very well suited for all of the features that you get um based on other, other Softwares. A lot of bookkeeping firms are not huge corporations um that can, that can pay, you know, large amounts um per month for a large software system. Um And so it's very much tailored to our industry. Um And for, for our, our culture.

What would you say to someone contemplating trying out Financial Cents?

Hope Blankenship: What would I say to someone trying out financial sense? What I would say is you've probably tried, you know, 10 to 20 to maybe 30 different Softwares or C R M uh process management Softwares at this point because I know I had by the time financial sense came out. Um and I'm so glad that I gave them a try and we tested them out because from day one, it was simple, it was uncomplicated. Um We can, you know, turn in a feature that we want and they listen and they create the feature and they allow the software to work for us, who is the consumer who needs it to work um in an efficient way. Um So what I would say to you is just do it, it will be the best thing you've done for your firm um in quite some time. And I really think that um it will transform your firm.
